Slacker is a stock 1979 Tartan Ten, hull number 213. Her homeport is Marina Del Rey, California. With directional stability from her narrow hull, relatively long keel and 4/5’s rig, the Tartan Ten makes an excellent shorthanded racing boat.

Nice job. JIm Q and I discussed “you” before the race. I figured you would not be competitive due to the small chute size and lack of experience. Wrong!! I’ve always liked the T-10, never sailed one. Though about one for double-handing to Hawaii, but bought a Moore instead. Jim and I raced it in the Pac Cup 92. Also saw a ton of t-10’s in the Great Lakes. Again, Congrats and I hope your trip back is safe and “painless as possible” Good website as well!
Hi Whitall,
I saw your comments on the USCG ATON Discontinuance proposal and wonder if you might be able to talk about it with me for an article I am writing for The Log. You can reach me at shane@thelog.com
